Few points to note

  • The time table can be modified according to the strength and weaknesses of the candidate.
  • Candidate must make a sound balance between static portion and dynamic (Current Affairs) portion of the syllabus
  • Preparation must be integrated for Prelims and Mains

  • Follow the time table religiously
  • Do not distract yourself with unnecessary material. Just study NCERT books along with 1 standard book for each topic.
  • Focus more on revision
  • Solve previous year question papers. Keep the previous year question booklet with you always and keep referring to it. It will give you an idea about patterns of questions asked in UPSC
  • Enroll in Prelims Test Series and get familiar with Examinations pattern and get answer evaluation by experts to clear your doubts. Solve as much mock Test papers as you can.

 Now, because it’s just 7 months left, we have devised a plan for you from Dec 2017. All the serious candidate must have read NCERT books along with current affairs to form a stronger case until now. Yes, if you have missed to study Laxmikant for polity by any chance, study it now. For Economy, NCERT book of Biology of 12th class is a must read. Read the 4th chapter thoroughly. For economics, class 12th economic book along with Economic Survey. Yojana, India Year Book, The Hindu, Indian Express are few important sources which one should never miss while preparing for current affairs.

For Art of culture, Fine Arts of class 11th should be read thoroughly just in case you missed to study this. Modern History and Spectrum for the coverage of History syllabus is also immensely important. For Environment, read Biology of class 12th. NCERT of Geography and History from class 6th to class 10th should also not be missed.
