Importance Of Previous Year Question Papers For IAS Preparation

Now coming back to the importance of previous year question papers, how important is this? – A common question among all IAS aspirants. As an IAS aspirant, it is very important to know the significance of previous year question papers and how one can make best use of them. Believe it or not, UPSC asks repetitive questions from previous year question papers many a time. And here is the proof:

  • UPSC asked following question first in 2015 and then again in 2017, with a minor change in question and options:

2015: Which one of the following countries of South West Asia does not open out to the Mediterranean Sea?

  1. Syria
  2. Jordan
  3. Lebanon
  4. Israel

2017: Mediterranean Sea is a border of which of the following countries?

  1. Jordan
  2. Iraq
