Lady Power bashes –Nandini K R Tops UPSC 2016

Once again, a lady, Nandini KR from Karnataka, after the last year’s Tina Dabi, has topped UPSC.

Nandini is from OBC category and opted Kannada Literature as her optional subject for UPSC Civil Services examination. She is a civil engineering graduate, an alumnus of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore.

Anmol Sher Singh Bedi has successfully secured the second position followed by Gopalkrishna Ronanki, Saumya Pandey, Abhilash Mishra and Kothamasu Dinesh Kumar. According to the list published by UPSC, there are 1,099 candidates who have been recommended for various government accounts. Also, UPSC has kept another 220 candidates on the waiting list. The list also revealed that 180 successful candidates will be appointed in the Indian Administrative Service, 45 in the Indian Foreign Service, 150 in the Indian Police Service and other 834 candidates in central group A and B services.

Nandini KR, the topper of UPSC 2016, was found saying that she always wanted to be an IAS officer. And, this was a dream come true for her.

According to the UPSC 2016 Result; There are  500 selections from the general category, 347 from Other Backward Class followed by 163 from Scheduled Castes and 89 from Scheduled Tribe categories

Looking at the ranking of the candidates, it was a satisfactory result, which has deliberately promoted a minority, like 2015, to push out the division in our society. And, we love it.
